Slow Cooker Beef Ribs

This is possibly the EASIEST and most tasty recipe in the world as it has between 1-3 ingredients, can be cooked in the slow cooker (so dinner cooks while you attend to life for the rest of the day) and it is a wonderful and easy serving of iron rich protein. The beauty of the beef ribs is that they tend to be a much cheaper cut of beef also. I always make sure to ask for the meatiest ribs when I purchase mine from my butcher.

Ingredients

  • Beef spare ribs (however many you need for your family)

  • Drizzle of olive oil

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Rub oil onto meat side of the ribs

  2. Season with salt and pepper to your taste (I don’t use salt as I don’t think it needs it but that’s just me!)

  3. Place ribs in a slow cooker (bone side down) and cook for at least 6 hours on low (I set them up at breakfast time and let them cook on low until dinner time)

  4. Serve with your choice of vegetables/salad
