Slow cooker baked potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 4-6 large potatoes (or however many you need to feed your family)

  • Toppings (everyone can choose their own):

    • butter/margarine

    • baked beans

    • leftover bolognese/chilli con carne

    • tin of tuna/salmon

    • grated cheese, sour cream

    • peas, corn, grated carrot, chopped tomatoes, chopped broccoli (cooked or raw), tinned beetroot…

    • olives, pickles

    • anything you/your children wish to put on!!

Method:

  1. Wash potatoes well (use a potato brush if you need)

  2. Prick the potatoes all over with a fork

  3. Wrap the potatoes in foil (individually)

  4. Place the wrapped potatoes in the slow cooker with the opening of the foil facing upwards

  5. Cook on low for 8 hours

  6. Serve with the topping of you/your child’s choice
